I would like to raise the issue of health and safety regulations that apply in the workplace. Of course, most courses are discussed, or save up for additional training, but it is always worth to remember what and how. Sometimes I hear from new clients in various horrible stories related to the styling.

Podeprę the Minister of Health dated 17 February 2004. On the specific health requirements which should be subject to the hairdresser's, beauty, wellness and Tattoo (Official Journal of 27 February 2004).  

"2 Whenever in this Decree:
1) tools - means the items used during the provision of services that violate or may violate the continuity of tissues, and the items do not affect the continuity of the tissue in contact with skin;
3) equipment - shall mean the technical equipment used to provide services, including apparatus for sterilization and disinfection; "

So tools are pliers, dumplings, cutters and other instruments supporting, we pay a special attention to the files, even if we use them only for the masses.
Of course, any file disinfect (expensive nail files good companies can safely soak). An alternative is to use disposable pilników, or pilników assigned to individual customers. In this case secreted container in which we keep disinfected nail files in separate bags, sealed and signed the name of clients. If the client brings their own tools (clippers, nail file), also disinfect them, except that, remember that we do not know what is happening with these tools outside the lounge. Our proprietary tools are much more sterile.

"3.3. The plant is isolated:
1) premises where services are received;
2) changing room and waiting room for people using the service;
3) sanitarnohigieniczne room for people using services of employees in the plant;
4) a room or space to store cleaning equipment;
5) a room or closet for storing cosmetics and the clean and dirty linen;
6) Place the containers in which wastes are collected.

5. The walls in basins and sinks in the rooms where services are received, to cover at least 1.6 m nienasiąkliwym material, easily washable and resistant to moisture and the measures referred to in § 10. 2.
6. The plant should be connected to mains water and sewerage, or use their water intake.
7. To the plant is fed with hot and cold water, or it installs the device used to heat water. "

These are the rules to which we must apply. Depending on the specific sanepidu, ladies working there can give us additional guidance, as our little corner will look to meet any standards. For example, it is possible to obtain approval for not having toilets, if within 75m is coming to the paragraph.

"§ 4 The plant may be:
1) the sale, in a separate room or place articles in hairdressing, cosmetics, and products wig;
2) the administration or sale of alcoholic beverages, under conditions specified in the regulations on the health conditions of food and nutrition .. "

In a separate corner shop excreted. As regards the administration of drinks, the best solution is a distributor of hot and cold water, disposable cups, spoons, plates, etc. If you have a larger facility, we may be tempted, for example, a vending machine for drinks.

We need to keep these data using the preparation of each formulation.

"§ 14. Room or a place to store cleaning equipment to be fitted with mounted at a height of 0.5 m from the floor sink, except that in facilities where there are no more than 3 positions, may be equipped with a separation of the valve with a nipple for the hose and the floor drain trap. "

"§ 15. Items which are plant equipment, furniture, in particular, should have a smooth, absorbent surface dust and water resistant to mechanical damage and agents referred to in § 10. 2.

So we have to facilitate, if we have only one position. When furnishing, remember the material, which are made of chairs, tables, cabinets, etc. There may be padding materials, or anything else that can not be washed thoroughly cleaning agents and disinfectants.

"§ 21 1. In a business where services are received in the pedicure, isolated position of at least 6 m2, isolated from other positions.
2. The position referred to in paragraph. 1, fitted with:
1) tray for soaking feet in hot and cold running water or
2) a portable wading pool for soaking feet, which are washed and disinfected after each use. "

Our position for pedicures must be separated, for example, a screen or wall unit, sliding door, etc. We can use the bowls for pedicures, remembering, of course, whenever cleaning and disinfection. We can also use disposable liners into the bowl.

As you can see, the rules are clear and clearly worded. Very good idea is to report to the appropriate sanepidu advice on premises equipment, if the house you pick is suitable for renovation. Do not be afraid sanepidu because the ladies working there to help us fulfill obligations. However, the cleanliness of the office is an absolute essential. Do not forget disposable gloves, aprons, masks. We need to use the largest possible amount of disposable products (cloths, flip to the pedicure, etc.) and remember to disinfect. To say the service, if their nails clients (such as thrush) is eligible for medical treatment. This is for the health of both our and our clients.
